Arai XC

Arai XC

Arai XC

Happy Friday, everyone. As our “Arai Week” comes to an end we are going to discuss one of the best open face helmets in the market. The Arai XC Series helmet provides the rider with some unique features not found on other open face helmets.

The Arai XC comes with extended coverage in the lower jaw-cheekpad area. Arai has extended this area, 1 3/16″, compared to the previous and traditional 3/4 open face helmets. The XC provides a measure of lower jaw protection that’s been missing from open face helmets which expose the lower part of the face.

Here are some great features of the Arai XC:

  • Upper Vent System: Also available on the Corsair-V, improves the airflow and helmet stability. DF-11 diffusers have larger vent toggles for easier operation.
  • Fixed Air-Wing: Reduces lifting while providing additional stability at highway speeds.
  • Cheek Pad: New design is similiar to that of a full-face helmet. Full coverage EPS based and removable covers.
  • Dry-Cool Liner: Fully removable liner.
  • Vented Neck Roll: Vented neck roll takes advantage of existing airflow from around the rider’s neck to further enhance helmet ventilation by extracting more heat buildup from interior.
  • Thinner Shield Arms: Pods provide a more aerodynamic shape. LRS levers assist with shield removal.

Arai VX-Pro3

Arai VX-PRO-3

Arai VX-PRO-3

The Arai VX-PRO3 is one of the most preferred helmets by motocross riders. We are all familiar with the history of Arai’s design so there is no doubt that this helmet guarantees safety and confidence while you ride. What is it that makes this helmet stand out from the rest? Here are a few features that will answer that question:

  • Emergency Cheekpad Release System: Designed to allow easier access to an injured rider, the VX-PRO3′s cheekpads slide out via the integrated pull-tabs built into the underside of the cheekpad.
  • Interior: Fully-removable, washable and replaceable comfort liner, cheekpads and chinstrap. Arai’s Dry-Cool material is used for superior heat transfer and dry time.
  • Top-Mount Ventilation Diffuser: First Arai dirt helmet using their diffuser ventilation system.
  • Rounded Chinbar: Resulting in less protrusion, making it less likely to catch and dig in during a spill. The oval form is on an egg’s shape long known for its strong and efficient shape.
  • One-Piece Grill: A one-piece, stamp-formed, stainless-steel expanded mesh screen provides a durable barrier against roost, while minimizing mud-packing. A closeable chinbar vent gate allows airflow control to the chin area.
  • Chinbar Forward Tilt: An additional 11mm of forward tilt in the upper chinbar nose area. Length and radius of the chinbar are unchanged, maintaining the VX_Series’ minimized protrusion.
  • Peak Design: More air is focused to the forehead vent-posts for improved cooling. Multiple relief-ports are used to reduce “bucketing” at higher speeds.
  • Shell Construction: Arai’s proprietary Complex Laminate Construction utilizes aerospace fiberglass technology to achieve a strong, flexible shell in a lightweight package.

Memorial Day Events in Florida

Memorial Day

Memory of those that have fallen...

Memorial Day, formerly known as Decoration Day, commemorates the men and women who died while in military service to the United States. It began as a ritual of remembrance and reconciliation after the Civil War but by the end of the 20th century, it became an occasion for expressions of memory, where people visited graves of deceased relatives. Through time it has become a week dedicated to shopping, family gatherings, fireworks, beach excursions and national media events like the Indianapolis 500.
